first in a while

Some people call me jack but others think I'm a pain
il be be waiting on the platform when you go to catch the train
i have no bark to speak of but i can give a nasty bite
i only come out in winter because i don't much like sunlight.

riddle me

so..
on the train and this came to mind

I roll, but don't get about too much
im covered in blades yet soft to the touch
good as a marker when you'v lost your way
plenty to see but not much to say.

Out and about

today i decided to go for a long and largly pointless cycle ride in which i got lost and subsiquently ended up with alot of time on my hands so here is the resulting riddle i made up.

Il support a family but don't have to work
in citys and forests are places i lurk
il preserve a memory for more than a while
take a break here and you'll make the next mile.
